Review by hotel critic
During my recent visit to Baan Are Gong Riverside Homestay, I was pleasantly surprised by the culinary offerings. As a tea plantation owner from Galle, I appreciate well-executed cuisine, and this establishment delivered. The complimentary breakfast was a delightful way to begin my day. I settled onto the terrace, overlooking the river, where I enjoyed a selection of local dishes - both comforting and fresh. It reminded me of the meals my family would have during tea-picking seasons. The ambience of the restaurant, surrounded by the lush garden, complemented the dining experience. Although the location is convenient, with a short walk to the train station and within reach of various eateries like Love To Eat and the Seven Seas, I found myself drawn to the homestay's own culinary creations. To the pleasant meal, I appreciated the staff's willingness to assist with trip planning, enhancing my overall experience. For guests interested in local flavors and unique settings, this homestay is worth considering for your next gourmet getaway.
